Job Description

The Head of Artificial Intelligence will be responsible for establishing and implementing comprehensive AI strategies aligned with Faysal Bank’s business objectives. The role demands close collaboration across cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies such as natural language processing, deep learning, and machine learning model governance into products and services securely, while adhering to AI security governance and compliance standards.

The position requires an expert in AI security frameworks and risk assessment to ensure that all AI initiatives mitigate vulnerabilities and uphold the highest standards of data privacy and ethical considerations. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead and mentor the AI team effectively, promote innovative AI product management, and maintain alignment with evolving AI and ML governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall artificial intelligence strategy to support Faysal Bank’s digital transformation goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of data specialists, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and effective collaboration.
  • Oversee end-to-end machine learning operations, from model development and deployment to continuous improvement and monitoring.
  • Design, implement, and maintain AI security governance frameworks and risk assessment processes to protect organizational data and systems.
  • Ensure all AI solutions align with ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards related to AI and machine learning governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, data engineering, product management, and business units to embed AI into banking operations and service delivery.
  • Drive innovation in advanced analytics and natural language processing to enhance customer interaction, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor emerging trends and technologies in AI and deep learning to recommend and integrate new tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Lead initiatives that assess and manage security risks related to AI, specifically focusing on NLP applications and machine learning model vulnerabilities.
  • Develop training programs and workshops to enhance AI skills among team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Manage partnerships with external AI vendors and research organizations to incorporate cutting-edge technology and solutions into the bank’s AI roadmap.
